Did we accomplish everything we set out to do before Eli came? Not quite... my Christmas trees on the front porch spent as much time unplugged as they did plugged in. And, I went the whole month with a wreath missing from one of my windows on the house. But, we had a pretty great Christmas season!
Santa sent us a very special little elf around Thanksgiving! Banks named him "Wacky." Wacky came every day to watch Banks and make sure that he was being a very good little boy. And every night, Wacky flew back to Santa to give him a report of how good Banks was during the day! Every morning, Banks ran to find the new spot Wacky found in the house for the day. I loved going on the Wacky hunts with Banks every morning!
My little Christmas monkey loved decorating for Christmas! Well, he loved playing with the decorations!
Where else would you put a Christmas stocking?
We had a fun family night decorating a gingerbread house! Jonathan the Engineer spent a lot of time stabilizing our gingerbread house before decorating!
And we had a fun afternoon decorating Christmas cookies! Again, this is a "Design by Jonathan." No cookie cutters involved... he prefers to freehand his cookie designs! By far, this was Banks's favorite cookie!
And of course, Banks decorated a tiny little tree for his room too! He loved having his own tree! He wanted it to stay lit all night, but it kept him awake so we would have to sneak back in and unplug it so he would sleep!We also made a Birthday cake for Jesus, drove through some fantastic Christmas lights, read the Polar Express (a Christmas Tradition since my brothers and I were little), and so much more.
