The water slide

When my parents bought the lake house, there was a bright yellow slide in the middle of the water in front of the house. We loved that slide! When we got a little older, dad moved the slide to the end of the dock, added a water supply, and we loved that slide even more! It was fast with the water added, and the drop was a good 5 feet into the water when the water was high.

Dad decided that Banks needed a slide this summer! He and Jonathan built it over a weekend, and Banks loves it! He quickly learned how to turn the water on himself, and you can hardly keep him off of it. This will be so fun for years to come!

Uncle Boo Boo came to see the boys. He does love his nephews!

Smiley McGee here loved the sandbox, and only consumed minimal amounts of sand.

Is it just me, or does dad look like he's up to something here?

Can you get a sense of the size of this slide from this picture? That's Jonathan standing knee deep in the water next to the ladder, and Brett is up top on the platform. (As a side note - this may be the most over-designed lake slide I've ever seen. Our old slide certainly did not have a platform and rails.) This is before dad added a water supply. Even without water, Banks is flying off the end.

Notice now there is a water supply. Really flying now.

Honestly, this thing is huge.

Front shot flying off the slide.

You knew he was going to try it too, right?

KK came to visit too! She cuddled Eli while Banks went down the slide.

Mom got plenty of love from Eli too! He loves the attention!

Now, Papa.... Eli needs another year before he's ready for the slide!

Best. Slide. Ever.
