Pre-K Field Trip to the Peanut Farm

Banks loves Pre-K. I mean Banks LOVES Pre-K! He loves his friends. He loves his teachers. And he loves LOVES a field trip!

The first field trip of the year was to the Peanut Farm! The classes pick peanuts and then take them back and create a peanut butter factory! They wash and open the peanuts before crushing them and mixing them into homemade peanut butter. Talk about a hands-on learning experience!

To tell you the truth, Banks was as excited about riding on a real school bus as he was about the peanuts! He could not WAIT to get on that bus! The first thing he said to me when we got to the peanut farm? "Mommy! That bus doesn't even have seat belts!" What a rebel.

Banks doesn't love getting his hands dirty, so it took some coaxing to convince him to reach down and pull up some peanuts. But he eventually got the job done!

The sweetest Pre-K class and teachers I know! What a great field trip!
