Little Trees

I mentioned in an earlier post how excited Banks was about having his own tree! Well, Eli's tree stayed in his room all season too. It suited both boys to have it this way since we do most of our playing after school in Banks's room.

What I want to remember forever about Banks's tree, however, is how he filled it with his own ornaments. A friend recommended a sweet advent book for us this year that was full of simple crafts for every night. While we read the story every night, we didn't always make the crafts... but we made quite a few! Banks loved it and was proud to add to his tree frequently! The paper chain is made up of his nightly advent "clues" to the story. He loved listening for the nightly clue in the story!
