Eli at 4 months

Dear sweet Eli,

At four months, you are still one of the happiest babies we have ever seen. We love to rock you and hold you. You look back at us with such appreciation - you love attention!

You have taken a brief hiatus from sleeping through the night. Mommy and daddy are less than thrilled about that... but we're working to get you back on track!

You can hum and spit. You learned to spit really well from watching your big cousin Mac spit. I'm sure it's not the last thing your cousin Mac will teach you through the years! Perhaps Melissa and I should be more concerned about what Banks teaches you and Mac though...

You weighed 12 pounds 15.5 ounces at your 4 month check-up. You are 25th percentile in weight, just like your big brother! That's ok - you're awfully cute even if you don't have a lot of extra baby fat to go around! You have just enough for us!

Banks calls you "my best buddy Eli." He loves you so much! Every day when we go to pick Banks up from school, he wants to hug you and hold you before we can leave!

You are trying so hard to sit up on your own! You're not ready yet... but you love to practice! You're quite the busybody and you would be happy to watch Banks play all day long!

You've rolled a few times from an incline, but I think it was an accident. Sorry - looks like you aren't ready to roll either! That's ok. You can stay a baby as long as you want. Don't grow up too fast!

You smile, laugh and squeal all day long. I love that. It's the most beautiful sound in the world!

Your mommy and daddy love you so, so much!

Hugs and kisses,
Mommy and Daddy
