Folly Beach 2010

We are so thankful that Ben and Melissa (aka Banks's 'Issa') invited us to Folly for a few days during their vacation! Thank you both, and Ryan and Mamie, because we had a wonderful time!

Banks was fearless in the water, which was a huge change from our trip to Edisto in June! Banks wanted to "fly" through the water and be swing through the waves. He proudly tells you the water hit him in the face, and he loved every minute of it!

Uncle Boo Boo came to visit one afternoon. They played in the sand and swam. When Brett got there, Banks said, "I found my Boo Boo!" So sweet.... he loves his aunts and uncles so much!

Banks built a giant sand castle on the last day (Riiiiiiight, "Banks" built it) and he was very proud! Let's just say Banks is already a pretty good delegater. He wanted to just show us where to dump the castles. He occasionally helped fill a bucket, but that's about it.

When the tide came in and washed away the sandcastle, Banks cried. He was so sad! But then he decided that the waves were "taking the sand back to its mommy" and he was ok with that.
We also found a sand dollar on the last day! Because the sand dollar was still alive, he was also thrown "back to his mommy" after we found him, but Banks thought he was pretty neat!

Uncle Terry is the Fire and Police Chief at Folly, and he let us come and see the firetrucks! Banks was so excited!

All of us before dinner the last night. We really had so much fun!

Uncle CJ visited for the day too! They had a big time chasing seagulls and running up and down the beach. They played in the water forever too! Then, Uncle CJ came in and had dinosaur shaped peanut butter and jelly sandwiches and participated in nap time. He was worn out too!

On the 4th of July, we met Brian, Annie and Hannah downtown for dinner and fireworks. It's always so good to see old friends!

I love our sweet little family! I can't wait to add one more to the mix!

Finally, Banks with his Uncle Ben. I'm pretty sure Banks and Ben played as hard as anyone! There was a lot of playing "Bear" and giggling coming from these two!

Thanks again for having us! We'll definitely remember this trip for a long, long time!
